KS1 Teaching Assistant (SEND, 1‑2‑1) – Full‑Time

About the role

Join a supportive school environment as a KS1 Teaching Assistant, providing one‑to‑one support for a SEND child. You will work closely with the classroom teacher to facilitate daily routines, learning activities, and a positive learning atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1‑2‑1 assistance to a KS1 pupil.
• Support small group activities and classroom tasks as needed.
• Help manage daily routines and learning objectives.
• Address challenging behaviour by creating an engaging and positive environment.
• Collaborate with the teacher to follow lesson plans and classroom directives.

Required profile

• Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant transferable experience in care.
• Proactive, supportive attitude with confidence working with children of varying abilities.
• Strong communication, patience and ability to follow teacher instructions.
• Genuine passion for education and flexibility to adapt to classroom needs.
