KS2 Phase Lead & Year 6 Teacher – Wandsworth Primary School

About the role

We are seeking an experienced KS2 Phase Lead and Year 6 Teacher to join a high‑performing primary school in Wandsworth. The role starts in September 2026 and combines leadership of the Key Stage 2 phase with direct teaching of a Year 6 class, preparing pupils for SATs and the transition to secondary education.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, creative and differentiated lessons for Year 6.
• Lead the KS2 phase, supporting and inspiring colleagues across the stage.
• Use assessment data strategically to raise attainment and monitor progress.
• Prepare pupils effectively for SATs and end‑of‑Key‑Stage assessments.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Primary Teacher with QTS.
• Proven experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2 or Year 6.
• Strong curriculum knowledge and confidence preparing pupils for SATs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop colleagues.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and high standards.
