KS2 SEN Teacher (SEMH) – Full‑time, East Grinstead

About the role

We are looking for a passionate KS2 SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in East Grinstead. The role focuses on delivering creative, differentiated lessons that support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them build confidence and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEN needs.
• Support pupils in developing emotional regulation and engagement with learning.
• Create a structured, safe and nurturing classroom environment.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and their families.
• Collaborate with support staff and specialists to provide holistic care.
• Use innovative, trauma‑informed strategies to re‑engage learners.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher (QTS) with KS2 experience.
• Passionate about SEN and SEMH education.
• Patient, empathetic and emotionally intelligent.
• Skilled in behaviour management with a trauma‑informed approach.
• Creative, flexible and solution‑focused.
• Commitment to making a meaningful difference daily.
