KS2 SEN Teacher (SEMH) – Full‑time Permanent

About the role

We are seeking a passionate KS2 SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in East Grinstead. The role focuses on delivering creative, differentiated lessons that support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, fostering confidence and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver tailored KS2 lessons that meet individual SEN requirements.
• Support pupils in developing emotional regulation and engagement.
• Create a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with each pupil.
• Utilise innovative strategies to re‑engage learners.
• Collaborate closely with support staff and specialists to provide holistic care.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with KS2 experience.
• Passionate about SEN and SEMH education.
• Patient, empathetic and emotionally intelligent.
• Skilled in behaviour management using a trauma‑informed approach.
• Creative, flexible and solution‑focused.
• Committed to making a meaningful difference daily.
