About the role

Hays Education is partnering with primary schools in the South West to recruit a passionate Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher. You will deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that follow the national curriculum and foster both academic progress and personal growth for pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons for Key Stage 2 pupils in line with the national curriculum.
• Create a positive classroom environment that supports academic progress and personal development.
• Assess pupil progress and provide feedback to students, parents and school leadership.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan cross‑curricular activities and share best practice.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Commitment to supporting pupil achievement and inclusive education.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the national curriculum for Key Stage 2.
• Ability to plan and deliver differentiated instruction.
• Effective communication with pupils, parents and staff.
