About the role
We are looking for an experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Stockport. The role is full‑time and starts in September 2026, supporting pupils in Upper Key Stage 2 as they prepare for secondary school.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with class teachers to support daily learning activities.
- Deliver targeted small‑group intervention sessions in English and Maths.
- Assist pupils of varying abilities, including those needing additional support.
- Help pupils prepare for the transition to secondary education.
Required profile
- Proven experience supporting pupils in Upper KS2.
- Secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum, especially English and Maths.
- Confidence in planning and delivering small‑group interventions.
- Reliable, motivated and committed to helping every child achieve their potential.
