KS3 SEN English Teacher – West London

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated KS3 SEN English Teacher to join our specialist provision in Ealing, West London. The role involves delivering engaging, differentiated English lessons to students with a range of special educational needs, supporting both academic progress and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver KS3 English lessons tailored for learners with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia and speech‑language difficulties.
• Adapt curriculum content, resources and teaching strategies to ensure accessibility for all students.
• Develop and implement individual learning plans aligned with EHCP targets and monitor progress.
• Provide regular feedback to staff, parents and carers.
• Create a structured, nurturing classroom environment and apply effective behaviour‑management and de‑escalation techniques.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists and external professionals.
• Uphold safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion policies at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English at KS3 level, preferably within SEN, alternative provision or inclusive settings.
• Strong understanding of SEND and differentiated teaching approaches.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
