Laboratory Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join the technical team of a leading chemical manufacturer in Winsford. The role focuses on supporting quality‑control analysis of chemical products, raw materials and intermediates while ensuring compliance with documentation, health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precision testing such as QC, set speeds, open times and viscosity measurements.
• Respond to technical requests from the CRM to provide customer‑focused solutions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and Certificates of Analysis (COA) in line with legal and REACH regulations.
• Manage the end‑to‑end QC process, calibrate equipment and keep the laboratory environment clean and organised.
• Support the sales team on‑site, troubleshooting and demonstrating product performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience working in a laboratory environment.
• Strong report‑writing ability and high computer literacy (Word, Excel, Smartsheet).
• Full UK driving licence for occasional site visits.
• Experience with physical testing of adhesives, coatings or inks is advantageous.
