Laboratory/Manufacturing Operator I

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Manufacturing Operator to join our production team in Warrington. The role is based in a cleanroom environment and involves operating both manual and automated equipment to help deliver high‑quality products. This is a 12‑month full‑time contract with an immediate start date.

Key responsibilities

• Operate manual and automated manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanroom standards, wearing required personal protective equipment.
• Ensure a tidy, safe workspace and complete all production documentation accurately.
• Identify and report quality or production issues promptly.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives with engineering and material‑handling teams.

Required profile

• Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and follow detailed procedures.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform some manual handling.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or cleanroom setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Operation of manual manufacturing equipment.
• Operation of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Compliance with cleanroom protocols and use of PPE.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £13.35 (equivalent to £26,024 per year).
• Generous overtime rates – 150% on weekdays & Saturdays, 200% on Sundays.
• Stable daytime schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑4:00 pm.
• 12‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of extension.
