Labourer – Nelson

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Labourer to join a busy workshop in Nelson. The role offers hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment and includes full training in MIG welding. It is a full‑time position with a competitive hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general labouring duties within a workshop setting.
• Heavy lifting and manual handling of materials.
• Load, unload and move stock safely around the workplace.
• Use a variety of power tools and workshop equipment.
• Assist skilled operatives with fabrication and assembly tasks.
• Prepare materials and components for production.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised work area.
• Receive full training and development in MIG welding.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn new skills and develop within the role.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and a safety‑focused approach.
• Previous experience in labouring, manufacturing or workshop environments is advantageous but not essential.

What we offer

• Competitive hourly rate of £12.71‑£13.00.
• Full training in MIG welding.
• Monday‑Thursday 8:00‑16:30, Friday 8:00‑14:30.
