Labourer – Trenching & Shoring Division

About the role

Join GAP's high‑performing Trenching & Shoring Division as a Labourer. You will help keep the depot workshop and yard clean, safe and ready for daily operations, supporting a fast‑paced equipment hire business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a tidy, hazard‑free workshop and yard.
• Clean and store equipment in an orderly manner.
• Quality‑check equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it is hire‑ready.
• Assist with general workshop duties as needed.
• Perform driving duties (subject to licence) and help drivers and customers with loading and unloading.
• Operate a forklift when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a labourer role, preferably in a hire depot or yard.
• Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (forklift licence preferred).
• Valid driving licence.
• CSCS card (advantageous).
