Land Surveyor – AutoCAD Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Land Surveyor with strong AutoCAD expertise to join a well‑established engineering consultancy in Derby. You will work on a diverse portfolio of surveying projects, delivering accurate site layouts and technical drawings while supporting the team’s commitment to premium quality workmanship.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct land surveys, setting‑out, and site measurements across various projects.
• Create, modify, and produce detailed AutoCAD drawings and maps for site setting‑out.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, clients and contractors to ensure design requirements are understood and met.
• Maintain compliance with project timelines, working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Attend site visits as required to verify survey data and drawing accuracy.

Required profile

• Background in surveying, construction, groundworks or civil engineering.
• Practical experience producing technical drawings and maps.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated with a strong attention to detail.
