Landscape Designer - Traditional Gardens

About the role

An established landscape design practice in Hampshire, specialising in private gardens, country estates and high-end residential projects, is looking for an experienced Landscape Designer. The studio is known for traditional British gardens where landscape, architecture and planting come together, and the role involves working across projects from initial concept through to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design ideas and produce drawings and presentations
• Work closely with clients, consultants and the wider design team
• Discuss design ideas directly with clients and help develop schemes to a very high standard
• Create elegant, natural landscapes that complement their surroundings

Required profile

• Experience working within a landscape design practice
• Experience on high-end residential or private client projects
• Experience with historic properties, listed buildings or country estates is advantageous
• Office-based initially, with flexibility once settled in the team

Required skills

• Strong design skills and a good understanding of planting, materials and landscape detailing
• Ability to develop concepts through to detailed design
• Confident dealing with clients and design teams
• Vectorworks experience preferred; other CAD packages considered, with training provided
