Landscaper / Gardener – Luxury Residential Estate

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Landscaper/Gardener to join the team responsible for maintaining a luxury residential estate in South Croydon. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 9 am‑5 pm, offering a stable work environment and a competitive salary.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily litter picking and keep all external areas free of waste, weeds and hazards.
• Maintain planting areas, lawns, trees and shrubs to a high horticultural standard, including seasonal planting, pruning and soil care.
• Manage irrigation systems, monitor plant health and take corrective action for pests, diseases or nutrient deficiencies.
• Maintain riverbank vegetation to prevent over‑growth and minimise erosion.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and machinery safely (mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters).
• Log and respond to resident issues through the estate management system.
• Support health and safety by reporting incidents, conducting inspections and assisting with non‑specialist safety tasks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping or horticulture.
• Strong knowledge of plant care, pruning techniques and lawn maintenance.
• Ability to operate a range of landscaping equipment safely.
• Understanding of seasonal gardening requirements and environmental best practices, including riverbank maintenance.

Required skills

• Operation of landscaping equipment (mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters).
• Irrigation system management.
• Plant health monitoring and pest/disease identification.

What we offer

• Salary of £40,950 per year.
• 37.5‑hour work week, Monday‑Friday 9 am‑5 pm.
• Permanent full‑time contract on a prestigious estate.
