Laser Operator

About the role

Join a modern engineering environment as a Laser Operator, working with high‑precision Trumpf CNC laser machines. You will be responsible for turning technical drawings into accurately cut steel components while maintaining strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Trumpf CNC laser machines efficiently and safely.
• Interpret technical drawings and CAD layouts to set up correct cutting parameters.
• Maintain high‑quality standards throughout the laser cutting process.
• Perform basic mechanical maintenance on equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
• Use Trumpf software such as TruTops or Boost to optimise cutting cycles.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating Trumpf CNC laser machines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD layouts.
• Familiarity with Trumpf software is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and a practical, hands‑on approach.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
