Late Shift Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Late Shift Manager to lead our furniture production team during the evening hours at our Leeds manufacturing site. You will be responsible for meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth handovers to the day shift.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage the late‑shift production team.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are consistently met.
• Operate and oversee machinery including beam saws, edgebanders and CNC machines.
• Plan and allocate work to maximise productivity across the machine shop, spray shop and dispatch.
• Monitor operational performance and identify efficiency improvements.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, housekeeping and quality control.
• Support training, coaching and development of team members.
• Provide clear communication and handover updates to day‑shift management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in furniture manufacturing or woodworking.
• Strong knowledge of beam saws, edgebanders and CNC equipment.
• Previous supervisory or team‑leader experience.
• Hands‑on management style with the ability to lead by example.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive work ethic and problem‑solving mindset.
