Laundry Assistant

About the role

Northumberland Estates is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Laundry Assistant to join our on‑site laundry team. This full‑time, permanent position offers a fast‑paced environment where you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Operate washing and drying machines, selecting appropriate cycles for different linen and cloth items.
• Fold and sort linen and other textiles to a neat, pristine standard.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure adequate stock levels in laundry storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry area and equipment.
• Assist with additional housekeeping duties during quiet periods.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet production deadlines.
