Laundry Assistant – Part‑time Weekend Role

About the role

Join the Housekeeping Team at a brand‑new luxury care home in Matlock, providing essential laundry support for 78 residents. This part‑time weekend position (Saturday & Sunday, 8 am‑2 pm) ensures residents’ clothing and linen are clean, well‑maintained, and ready for use.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, dry, iron and correctly label residents’ clothing and linen.
• Return cleaned items to the appropriate rooms or storage areas.
• Maintain a tidy and organised laundry workspace.
• Follow infection‑control, health‑and‑safety and laundry‑specific procedures.
• Operate industrial washing machines and related equipment safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• A positive, reliable approach with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
• Clear communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection‑control is beneficial.
• Previous laundry experience is welcomed but not essential.
