Lead Analyst – Capital Markets & Loan Portfolio Mitigation

About the role

Citi’s Treasury Capital Markets and Loan Portfolio Mitigation (CM&LPM) team is seeking a Vice President‑level Lead Analyst to drive the growth, structuring and execution of credit risk mitigation solutions across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the synthetic securitisation programme – structuring, replenishments and ongoing maintenance.
• Expand the programme across multiple Citi businesses and explore new asset classes.
• Support external investor relationships and marketing efforts in partnership with sales management.
• Develop and enhance user‑interface technology for the securitisation platform.
• Prepare regular and ad‑hoc presentations of mitigation strategies for senior management.
• Monitor market risk and P&L of the CM&LPM hedge book.
• Research and design new structured credit solutions for balance‑sheet management.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit and Finance to secure approvals and ensure robust governance.
• Promote a culture of responsible finance, expense discipline and ethical conduct.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit structuring and/or portfolio management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically while handling detailed tasks.
• Strong understanding of risk/reward assessment and regulatory compliance.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain any required licences or registrations.
