Lead Buyer – IT Procurement (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Buyer to manage the end‑to‑end procurement of IT and technology solutions for a fast‑growing, technology‑driven organisation. The role will support stakeholders across the UK and Europe, working within a hybrid model that combines remote work with 2‑3 days on‑site in Hertfordshire.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities for software, SaaS, hardware, cyber‑security, networking, cloud and technology services projects.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and European suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts, manage commercial discussions and ensure value delivery while mitigating risk.
• Support Category Managers on strategic sourcing initiatives and contribute to best‑practice procurement processes.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous commercial improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing or sourcing, preferably within IT or indirect categories.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Confidence in stakeholder and supplier management across multiple countries.
• Self‑starter attitude with ownership of procurement projects.
• Interest in expanding knowledge of technology and digital procurement.

Required skills

• Understanding of software, SaaS, hardware, cyber‑security, networking and cloud procurement.
