Lead - Commercial Finance & FP&A

About the role

ACE Money Transfer, a UK-based fintech providing online remittance services, is hiring a Lead for Commercial Finance & FP&A. The role owns the group profit and loss account in its entirety, with a focus on challenging the numbers rather than just producing them. It leads an analytics team, works directly with the Head of Finance and the senior leadership team, and reports into the monthly close and the quarterly executive pack.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of the group P&L by entity and business line, with revenue assurance and a weekly and monthly register of revenue analysis
• Challenge cost of sales submitted by operating verticals (payout, acquiring, banking, e-money) and report cost per transaction and cost as a percentage of volume
• Own an annual cost-saving target, track savings to the ledger, and build a pipeline of cost initiatives
• Produce monthly financial performance reporting, rolling forecasts, the annual budget, quarterly executive packs, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and weekly revenue and campaign analyses
• Support financial due diligence on M&A and new market entry, and later counterparty risk assessment
• Review the group's real-estate and associated-company interests and hold challenger authority in the monthly close
• Lead and develop a team of analysts, set review standards, and work with operating verticals, treasury, growth and senior leadership

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CA or CIMA) or equivalent, with six or more years in commercial finance, FP&A or a comparable analytical finance role
• Demonstrable cost optimisation experience with quantifiable savings
• Experience owning a P&L or a material part of one, with accountability for the variance
• Desirable: payments, remittance or banking experience; multi-entity, multi-currency reporting; transaction due diligence or corporate development exposure; building a function rather than inheriting one
