Lead DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with a leading tech consultancy in London to find a Lead DevOps Engineer. You will drive the evolution and standardisation of client infrastructure and deployment pipelines while working across the major public cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate cloud infrastructure and software services on AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Manage, mentor and grow a team of DevOps engineers.
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform or other IaC tools.
• Run sprints, prioritise workload and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting, bug fixing and library enhancements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a team of engineers and delivering complex projects.
• Strong ability to translate technical concepts for both technical peers and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Solid background with Linux/Unix/Windows configuration.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience in software development or scripting (Python, Go, PowerShell, Node.js, C#).
• Demonstrated expertise in CI/CD pipeline tools such as Octopus, TeamCity, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
