Lead Econometrician – Marketing Mix Modelling

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Econometrician to own the delivery of Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) for our UK‑based data science team. Based in London with a hybrid schedule, you will combine hands‑on model building with senior stakeholder engagement to drive commercial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end MMM projects using frameworks such as Meridian, Robyn or PyMC.
• Manage all stages of model development – data preparation, calibration, validation and scenario planning.
• Translate statistical outputs into clear, actionable recommendations for senior clients.
• Serve as the primary client contact for delivery and strategic discussions.
• Balance technical work with leadership, mentoring a growing team of data scientists.
• Contribute to business development by supporting pitches and shaping the data‑science proposition.

Required profile

• Proven commercial experience delivering MMM projects from start to finish.
• Strong client‑facing background, comfortable presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading or mentoring data scientists while remaining hands‑on.
• Ability to assess model quality and communicate business recommendations.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Experience with open‑source MMM frameworks: Meridian, Robyn, PyMC.
• Solid grounding in statistical modelling, including Bayesian approaches and media attribution.
