Lead File Handler / Technical Supervisor

About the role

The Technical Supervisor/Lead File Handler will lead the team to meet the technical development objectives set for the team and each individual. The role involves providing supervision, technical support and training to the team, while also maintaining a caseload of MOD NIHL matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide supervision, training and technical support to the team.
• Continue to handle a reduced caseload.
• Ensure compliance with benchmarks set by Keoghs and clients whilst driving settlement and ensuring quality of delivery.
• Identify and implement learning activities to achieve appropriate authority levels and develop team members.
• Maintain effective communication with the team at all times.
• Assist with reviewing client complaints and resolve issues swiftly.
• Complete projects and process updates to improve operating practices or address specific client issues.
• Ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2019.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor.
• Experience in file handling of disease claims.
• Technical sign‑off on litigated NIHL matters (£150K FA, £250K HA).
• Proficient in all stages of the litigation process of disease claims.
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects or teams in the insurance/legal sector (desirable).
• Experience developing others by identifying learning needs and planning improvements (desirable).
