Key responsibilities

  • Drive delivery of high‑quality user‑facing features while improving performance and user experience.
  • Ensure design consistency, accessibility (WCAG) and cross‑browser compatibility.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI, Product and Engineering stakeholders to shape the product roadmap.
  • Mentor and coach front‑end developers, fostering a high‑performance, collaborative culture.

Required profile

  • Proven mentoring and coaching experience, capable of leading a small front‑end team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within agile environments.
  • Experience with SaaS products, ticketing or eCommerce platforms is desirable.

Required skills

  • Deep expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks – Vue.js (preferred), React or Angular.
  • Proficient HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design best practices.
  • Experience with design systems, scalable UI architecture, performance optimisation and accessibility.
  • Comfortable with Git, CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, TypeScript, and testing frameworks such as Cypress, Vitest or Jest.
  • Knowledge of mobile/responsive UI development and hybrid frameworks (Capacitor, Ionic).

What we offer

  • Competitive salary up to £60,000 per year.
  • Annual bonus scheme.
  • Generous individual training budget for courses or accreditations.
  • Hybrid working model – 1‑2 days per week in the Exeter office.
