About the role
ADLIB is a fast‑growing, award‑winning SaaS scale‑up looking for a hands‑on Lead Front‑End Developer. You will split your time between coding (80%) and guiding a small, talented front‑end team (20%). The role is based in Exeter with the flexibility to work remotely for most of the week.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of front‑end architecture across web, mobile and POS interfaces.
- Drive delivery of high‑quality user‑facing features while improving performance and user experience.
- Ensure design consistency, accessibility (WCAG) and cross‑browser compatibility.
- Collaborate with UX/UI, Product and Engineering stakeholders to shape the product roadmap.
- Mentor and coach front‑end developers, fostering a high‑performance, collaborative culture.
- Provide technical input for feature planning and communicate progress, risks and blockers.
Required profile
- Proven mentoring and coaching experience, capable of leading a small front‑end team.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within agile environments.
- Experience with SaaS products, ticketing or eCommerce platforms is desirable.
Required skills
- Deep expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks – Vue.js (preferred), React or Angular.
- Proficient HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design best practices.
- Experience with design systems, scalable UI architecture, performance optimisation and accessibility.
- Comfortable with Git, CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with GraphQL, TypeScript, and testing frameworks such as Cypress, Vitest or Jest.
- Knowledge of mobile/responsive UI development and hybrid frameworks (Capacitor, Ionic).
