Lead Full Stack Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with an ambitious fintech startup in Central London that is scaling rapidly. As Lead Full Stack Engineer you will combine hands‑on development with technical leadership, shaping both the product and the engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow a team of three full‑stack engineers, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services using C# and .NET.
• Build modern, responsive user interfaces with Angular, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Define and implement micro‑services and RESTful APIs.
• Champion clean code, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles and best‑practice front‑end standards.
• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance and solve architectural challenges.
• Work closely with senior leadership to influence product direction and technical strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading small engineering teams in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong hands‑on background in full‑stack development, comfortable writing production code daily.
• Passion for mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with product, UX/UI and business stakeholders.
