Lead Java Developer – Real‑Time Risk Platform

About the role

Citi is looking for a Lead Java Developer to drive the design and delivery of real‑time and on‑demand risk solutions for its Credit Business. You will work in a global, follow‑the‑sun environment, shaping the technology that underpins $5 trillion of daily transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of Real‑Time and On‑Demand Risk enhancements, partnering with trading, MQA, Market Risk and technology teams.
• Own the full development lifecycle: architecture, design, implementation, automated testing, release execution and production support.
• Align RT/OD workflows with EOD Risk strategy, ensuring functional parity, reconciliation and controlled cut‑over.
• Drive performance improvements through optimized risk calculation strategies.
• Guide migration of compute workloads to AWS, applying best practices for scalability, resiliency and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with NAM and APAC teams to increase delivery velocity and reduce operational risk.
• Provide user‑facing updates, demos, documentation and training to promote adoption.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience leading complex Java applications.
• Strong background in financial services risk systems or similar high‑throughput domains.
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple time zones and lead cross‑functional teams.
