Lead Night Manager

About the role

As a Lead Night Manager at Asda, you will be responsible for overseeing the store throughout the night shift, ensuring safety, legal compliance, and high shop‑floor standards while the rest of the world sleeps. You will work a rolling rota of four nights over seven days, including weekends, and hand over a fully prepared store to the day team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute all trading activity on the shop‑floor during the night shift, managing deliveries, stock rotation, waste, and returns.
• Lead, coach and develop night colleagues and team leaders to maintain excellent shop‑floor standards.
• Ensure the store is presentable for customers before the day shift begins, including promotions, foyer, and hot‑spot areas.
• Drive talent development by listening with empathy, encouraging resilience, and fostering a culture of ownership.

Required profile

• Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, preferably overnight.
• Ability to make independent decisions with a hands‑on attitude.
• Strong customer‑service focus and confidence in developing teams and managing change.
• Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.
