Lead Power Systems Project Manager

About the role

You will lead the development and delivery of a large‑scale hybrid energy platform for the Gente Grande project in Chile, combining roughly 1 GW of wind generation with 800 MW of gas‑fired power. Reporting directly to the Project Director and Board, you will own the planning, design, procurement, construction and commissioning of the integrated power system.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall hybrid power system strategy and architecture.
• Manage engineering consultants, OEMs and key technology providers.
• Oversee permitting, environmental studies and regulatory compliance.
• Develop CAPEX, OPEX, schedules and delivery strategies.
• Lead procurement, contractor selection and tender evaluation.
• Coordinate delivery of wind and gas generation assets and supporting infrastructure.
• Supervise commissioning, performance testing and system integration.
• Engage with regulators, investors, contractors and industrial customers.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified Electrical, Power Systems or Energy Engineer.
• Extensive experience in power generation, renewables, gas‑fired or hybrid energy systems.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale energy infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing engineering consultants, contractors and OEMs.
• Strong commercial awareness and project management capability.
• Comfortable working in a lean, fast‑paced environment.
