About the role

Lead Procurement Manager – Technology will oversee a significant technology spend portfolio for ASDA, driving category strategy across software, cloud, infrastructure and digital services. The role sits at the heart of ASDA’s procurement transformation, partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver value and support innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for the technology portfolio.
• Lead complex sourcing projects, tenders and high‑value commercial negotiations.
• Ensure commercial governance, risk management and supplier compliance.
• Analyse spend data, market trends and supplier capabilities to inform decisions.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to align procurement solutions with business priorities.
• Contribute to ASDA’s Procurement Transformation Programme.

Required profile

• Significant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or category management.
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract management expertise.
• Proven track record managing high‑value technology supplier relationships.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders within large organisations.
• Experience operating in fast‑paced transformation environments.
