Lead Site Manager – Grade II Listed Residential Project

About the role

A well‑established Hampshire‑based contractor is seeking a Lead Site Manager for a Grade II listed residential development. The project, valued between £1m‑£9m, will commence on site in July and requires careful coordination of heritage‑sensitive works.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for site delivery from inception to completion, overseeing both refurbishment and new‑build elements.
• Coordinate subcontractors and specialist trades to meet programme milestones while respecting listed‑building constraints.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure health & safety compliance through inspections, inductions and toolbox talks.
• Plan logistics and sequencing, handling deliveries in restricted or sensitive environments.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, representing the business professionally on‑site.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager on heritage or listed‑building projects.
• Strong background in both refurbishment and new‑build delivery.
• Experience working for a main contractor on projects valued up to £9 million.
