Lead Supplier Relationship Manager - IT

About the role

The Lead Supplier Relationship Manager – IT will be based in Leeds and will drive the strategic management of IT‑focused supplier partnerships for a medium‑size financial services organisation. You will work closely with internal teams to align procurement goals with supplier performance, ensuring value, compliance and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute supplier relationship strategies that support procurement objectives.
• Lead contract negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture procurement needs and priorities.
• Monitor supplier performance, address issues and enforce regulatory and ethical standards.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and process improvements across the supply chain.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the supplier management team.
• Prepare detailed performance and activity reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing IT‑specific suppliers and vendors.
• Demonstrated expertise in supplier relationship management within the financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of procurement and supply‑chain processes.
• Excellent negotiation and contract‑management capabilities.
• Ability to analyse performance data and deliver actionable insights.
• Experience working in a regulated environment.
• Leadership skills to manage teams and influence stakeholders.
