About the role
Saab UK is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to design and execute test solutions for electro‑mechanical products used in advanced underwater robotics. The role will be based at the Fareham campus and will cover the full test lifecycle from requirement analysis to test execution.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Test Engineering department, providing guidance and support to Test Engineers.
- Manage workload within the Test Engineering team and coordinate with external third‑party providers.
- Analyse system, subsystem and master requirements to derive test specifications.
- Plan, design and communicate test cases that verify and validate electro‑mechanical system requirements.
- Develop and maintain test tools and equipment needed for comprehensive testing.
Required profile
- Broad engineering knowledge with the ability to understand electro‑mechanical systems.
- Strong imagination and drive to develop innovative test solutions.
- Experience leading test activities and managing cross‑functional teams.
