Lead UX Designer

About the role

The Range is looking for a dynamic Lead UX Designer to shape the digital experience across its brands – The Range, wilko and Homebase. Based at the head office in Plymouth (or the London office), you will use research, data and experimentation to deliver customer‑focused, commercially driven designs.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously enhance the online shopping experience for wilko, Homebase and the wider digital estate.
• Shape and evolve a multi‑brand design system, establishing standards and raising UX maturity across the group.
• Use data, research, testing and experimentation to uncover pain points and validate solutions that drive commercial performance.
• Deliver production‑ready UI, prototypes and UX artefacts.
• Collaborate with product, creative, trading, UX research, CRO and development teams to deliver strategic initiatives and UX enhancements.
• Improve design craft and working practices in partnership with other designers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of UX/Product Design experience.
• Proven success designing e‑commerce or customer‑facing digital products.
• Strong end‑to‑end UX skills, from research to production‑ready design.
• Experience with design systems and UX best practices.
• Multi‑brand and native app experience is desirable.
