Leakage Technician

About the role

SES Water is seeking a Leakage Technician to join its team in Redhill. You will play a key part in reducing water loss across the Surrey, Kent and South London water network by detecting and investigating leaks, and supporting repair teams to restore service quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively detect and investigate leaks in the potable water network using industry‑standard techniques.
• Accurately locate, pinpoint and record leak positions and trace water mains, service pipes and fittings.
• Support leakage management programmes and network performance initiatives.
• Carry out step testing, basic water‑meter maintenance and valve‑operation activities as part of the operational team.
• Collect and record detailed data on investigations and network assets.
• Attend customer appointments, identify customer‑side leak issues and provide guidance on repair responsibilities.
• Mentor Leakage Detectors and share best practices.

Required profile

• Willingness to work on‑site in a field‑based environment.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Desire to develop competency through training and progression frameworks.
