Learning Coach

About the role

The Learning Coach will work with 16‑24 year‑old learners who have additional needs, including social, emotional and special educational needs (SEN). You will deliver one‑to‑one and group support, implement EHCP strategies and help learners progress towards education, training and employment goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored one‑on‑one and group tutoring for learners with SEN.
• Implement and monitor individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Assist with classroom management to maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
• Identify eligible young people and liaise with local authorities to secure work placements.
• Build and maintain relationships with local employers to arrange work experience or apprenticeships.
• Match learner skills and career aspirations with employer requirements.

Required profile

• Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths and ICT (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting young adults with additional needs, including SEMH and EHCPs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate learners and engage employers.
• Full UK driving licence desirable for local travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other digital documentation tools.

• Permanent full‑time contract.
• Salary £26,000‑£27,000 per year (inclusive of benefits).
