Learning Coach Tutor

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Learning Coach Tutor to support learners aged 16‑25 who are undertaking Apprenticeship and Study programmes. The role involves delivering functional skills in Maths and English up to Level 2, providing coaching, mentoring and academic guidance to help young people achieve their qualifications and progress into employment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of learners across Apprenticeship and Study programmes.
• Deliver and support Maths and English qualifications up to Level 2.
• Conduct regular learner reviews, progress assessments and target‑setting sessions.
• Provide one‑to‑one coaching and mentoring to drive achievement and progression.
• Support development of employability skills, personal development and workplace behaviours.
• Monitor attendance, engagement and performance, intervening where necessary.
• Collaborate with employers, tutors and other stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with funding and awarding body requirements.
• Assist learners in preparing for assessments, examinations and End Point Assessments.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and learner wellbeing at all times.
• Meet performance targets related to learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Experience supporting or teaching learners aged 16‑25.
• Ability to deliver or support Maths and English up to Level 2.
• Background in apprenticeships, education, training, employability or youth support programmes.
• Strong coaching, mentoring and communication abilities.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Passion for helping young people succeed.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
