Learning & Development Advisor

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based on site in Port Glasgow and offers an experienced Learning & Development Advisor the chance to own the L&D function within a fast‑moving industrial environment. You will work closely with senior leaders to shape and deliver a major transformation agenda while building modern learning infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and delivery of leadership and management development programmes.
• Refresh performance and development frameworks to align with business needs.
• Develop technical and behavioural competency pathways.
• Coordinate apprenticeship and early‑career initiatives.
• Drive engagement and cultural improvement activities.
• Assist with the rollout and adoption of a new Learning Management System.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an L&D Advisor or similar role, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing or engineering setting.
• Ability to take ownership of detailed work and translate strategy into practical solutions.
• Ambition to progress into a senior L&D position.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging with both operational teams and senior leadership.

Required skills

• Experience with HR and Learning Management System implementation.
