Learning & Development Director

About the role

The Learning & Development Director will shape and own Lomond Group’s learning strategy across a fast‑growing, multi‑brand property services business. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will work from London with regular travel to branches from Scotland to the south coast.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Group‑wide L&D strategy aligned with commercial priorities and growth plans.
• Build and lead a national team of trainers and facilitators, delivering consistent training to every branch.
• Manage the L&D budget, prioritise spend and demonstrate ROI.
• Develop relationships with Regional CROs and Managing Directors to tailor L&D to local commercial realities.
• Design a Group‑wide curriculum for sales negotiators, lettings negotiators and property managers, including front‑line manager training.
• Create career and accreditation pathways from negotiator to regional management.
• Implement a leadership development framework and critical‑conversation training for managers.
• Lead L&D integration for newly acquired businesses, harmonising onboarding and core training.
• Own learning analytics and reporting to show commercial impact.
• Define the LMS strategy, keep regulated and compliance training audit‑ready.

Required profile

• Senior L&D leadership experience in a multi‑site, retail, property or service‑led organisation.
• Proven track record designing and scaling sales, negotiation or front‑line service training.
• Experience building leadership development and management capability programmes.
• Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, acquisitive, multi‑brand environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, credible at Executive/CPO level.
• CIPD or equivalent L&D/coaching qualification desirable.
