Learning & Development Manager / HR Business Partner

About the role

Skanska UK is seeking a dynamic Learning & Development Manager who will also act as an HR Business Partner. You will work closely with senior leaders to deliver people strategies, boost engagement, and support performance across construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to shape and implement HR and L&D initiatives (approx. 30% of time dedicated to learning).
• Analyse people data to improve project performance and commercial viability.
• Lead talent review processes, succession planning and talent development across multiple horizons.
• Connect YLE, YVOS and Inclusion & Diversity plans to business needs.
• Drive engagement and retention strategies to minimise turnover.
• Collaborate with HR Service Delivery and specialist functions to provide integrated solutions.

Required profile

• Strong facilitation, communication and influencing abilities.
• Proven relationship‑building skills at all organisational levels.
• Resilient, proactive problem‑solver.
• CIPD qualified with up‑to‑date employment law knowledge.
