Learning & Development Partner – Birmingham

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Learning & Development Partner to join our growing L&D team supporting children’s residential services. Based at home with regular travel across the West Midlands, you will design and deliver training that equips staff with the knowledge, skills and confidence to provide outstanding care.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging training programmes that align with legislation, best practice and organisational standards.
• Continuously review and enhance training materials and learning content.
• Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, ensuring a professional learner experience.
• Gather and analyse learner feedback to improve training effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate training records and learner data in the Learning Management System.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant legislation, regulatory updates and sector developments.
• Act as lead trainer in designated specialist subject areas.
• Promote health, safety and risk awareness in all training activities.
• Champion equality, diversity, inclusion and organisational values across learning initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering L&D in children’s residential care.
• Ability to create practical, relevant learning experiences.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Commitment to compliance, best practice and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to travel across the region and stay overnight as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems.
• Ability to develop training materials and curricula.
• Knowledge of current legislation and regulatory standards for children’s residential services.

What we offer

• Salary £35,000‑£40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
