About the role
Our client is a leading provider of specialist children’s residential services, supporting young people with complex needs to develop independence and life skills. They are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Partner to deliver high‑quality training programmes across multiple residential settings in Cambridge, Newmarket, Peterborough and Bedfordshire/Shropshire.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging training programmes aligned with legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice.
- Support the onboarding and continuous development of new and existing staff.
- Deliver face‑to‑face and virtual training sessions, covering topics such as safeguarding, positive behaviour support and emergency first aid.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation.
- Update training materials in line with legislative and sector changes.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert within designated learning areas.
- Promote safe working practices and uphold health and safety standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, inclusion and professional development.
Required profile
- Minimum of 3 years experience working within children’s residential services.
- Strong understanding of legislation, safeguarding and best practice in residential childcare.
- Experience delivering training, coaching, mentoring or supporting staff development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong administration, literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work independently and manage a regional workload.
- Willingness to travel frequently across the specified region.
