Learning & Development Specialist

About the role

The Learning & Development Specialist will design, facilitate and continuously improve engaging learning solutions across Clarks’ retail, corporate and distribution centre teams. Working closely with the Global Head of L&D, you will translate business priorities into impactful learning experiences that boost capability, commercial performance and employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver learning programmes across face‑to‑face, virtual and blended formats for retail, corporate and distribution teams.
• Create retail learning programmes to enhance product knowledge, customer experience, commercial awareness and selling capability.
• Partner with stakeholders and subject‑matter experts to identify learning needs and translate them into practical solutions.
• Produce high‑quality learning resources such as facilitator guides, presentations, digital content, workbooks and job aids.
• Manage and continuously improve the Learning Management System (LMS), including course administration, learner communications, reporting and curriculum management.
• Identify learning opportunities, recommend new initiatives and enhance the overall employee learning experience.
• Coordinate learning calendars, communicate programmes and ensure timely delivery.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners and the wider L&D team.
• Stay up‑to‑date with learning trends, facilitation techniques and digital learning best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering learning programmes.
• Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to create learning resources, including digital content.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to take ownership from concept to delivery.
