Learning Facilitator Roofing/Brickwork

About the role

We are seeking a Learning Facilitator specialising in Roofing and Brickwork to join a leading further‑education college in Leeds from September. The role is hands‑on, supporting learners in a workshop environment, ensuring they develop practical construction skills safely and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Support learners undertaking practical Roofing and Brickwork activities.
• Assist teaching staff within the workshop setting.
• Prepare, maintain and organise tools, materials and equipment.
• Operate forklift equipment safely to move materials and resources.
• Promote and uphold health and safety standards at all times.
• Provide encouragement and guidance to learners as required.

Required profile

• Level 2 qualification in Roofing and/or Brickwork.
• GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or above) or equivalent Level 2.
• Valid forklift licence.
• Relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Willingness to undergo DBS check and mandatory safeguarding training.
