Learning Manager

About the role

Scripture Union Scotland is seeking a Learning Manager to develop and coordinate training for staff and volunteers. The role will run on a fixed‑term basis for three years, starting in autumn 2026, and will be based in a hybrid model between the Glasgow office and home.

Key responsibilities

• Build on recent training analysis to prioritise and implement learning initiatives.
• Partner with HR, Volunteers Manager and departmental leads to align training with the organisation’s strategic plan.
• Design courses with subject‑matter experts, ensuring clear outcomes.
• Create and maintain a learning hub/platform for resources and records.
• Investigate, select and roll out e‑learning tools, feedback and survey mechanisms.
• Develop evaluation tools to capture feedback, report on impact and drive continuous improvement.
• Arrange, develop and deliver engaging classroom and virtual training sessions.

Required profile

• Passion for people’s growth and a proven track record designing organisational training.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with a wide range of staff, volunteers and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Commitment to Scripture Union Scotland’s ethos, working principles and vision.
• Occupational requirement: the post‑holder must be a committed Christian.
