Learning Mentor – Behaviour Support in SEN School

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join a newly opened special‑needs school in Wandsworth. You will work closely with a small group of 6‑8 pupils, providing one‑to‑one or small‑group support to help them develop emotional and behavioural skills and access mainstream qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tailored behaviour‑management strategies for individual pupils.
• Support classroom activities and learning plans on a 1:1 or small‑group basis.
• Collaborate with teachers and senior staff to monitor progress and adjust interventions.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil behaviour and development.
• Promote a positive, inclusive environment in line with safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Recent (within 3 years) experience working with children in a support, mentoring or coaching capacity.
• Strong behaviour‑management skills and a compassionate, optimistic approach.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Willingness to work full‑time (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑4:00 pm).
