Learning Mentor – Teaching Assistant (Full & Part‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Learning Mentors to work as Teaching Assistants within Reach South Trust/Transforming Futures Academy. This temporary role supports teachers and students across various year groups, helping to maintain a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers with lesson delivery and set‑up resources.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils, including those with special educational needs.
• Implement individualized education plans and accommodations.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote inclusivity.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and support professionals to ensure smooth classroom operation.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar support role is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for student development.
• Flexibility to work across different year groups and settings.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a car.
