Learning Specialist

About the role

Hft is seeking an experienced Learning Specialist to join its Learning & Development team. This hybrid position is primarily home‑based but requires regular travel across Bristol, Gloucestershire and the West to deliver face‑to‑face training, coach staff and build strong relationships with operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging face‑to‑face, virtual and e‑learning programmes.
• Support new starters through induction and embed Care Certificate standards.
• Design and develop innovative learning content for the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Identify learning needs and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Support apprenticeship delivery and ensure successful learner completion.
• Collaborate with managers to embed learning into daily practice.
• Champion best practice, compliance and continuous improvement across services.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues to support learning initiatives.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic learning professional with experience in health and social care.
• Proven track record delivering learning and development programmes in the sector.
• Experience designing blended learning solutions.
• Strong facilitation, coaching and presentation abilities.
• Ability to identify learning needs and assess training impact.
• Experience creating digital learning content for an LMS.
• Excellent relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive approach with a passion for helping others succeed.
