Learning Support Assistant (1:1) – Redbridge

About the role

This is a term‑time, 1:1 Learning Support Assistant position in a caring primary school in Redbridge, starting September 2026. You will work closely with a single pupil who has additional learning needs, helping them achieve academic, emotional and social progress.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support throughout the school day, adapting activities to the pupil’s needs.
• Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals to deliver personalised learning strategies.
• Monitor and record the pupil’s progress, wellbeing and social development.
• Assist with behaviour management and classroom inclusion techniques.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• Patient, empathetic, resilient and able to build a trusting relationship with the pupil.
• Experience working with children through tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, coaching or school‑based roles is advantageous.
