Learning Support Assistant – Barnet (Sep 2026 start)

About the role

We are partnering with an inclusive secondary school in Barnet to hire a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) starting in September 2026. The role focuses on providing academic and pastoral support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Support students on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups during lessons.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging, accessible lessons and adapt learning activities where needed.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, independence and resilience among pupils.
• Monitor student progress, record observations and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Contribute to the wider pastoral and academic support framework for students with SEND.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Patient, supportive attitude and ability to work flexibly within a school environment.
